Eggman captured her mother and roboticized her, leaving Mina mourning and vulnerable to capture by Shadowbots.
She fell in love with Sonic after spending more time with him, and tried to win over his heart. When she realized that Sonic loved Sally Acorn , she gave up on pursuing him, and she instead began a singing career, eventually becoming the lead singer for Knothole Knuts and later the Forget Me Knots. Though she left the Knothole Freedom Fighters , she remained an ally and friend to them, as well as an active-if somewhat misdirected at times-citizen of New Mobotropolis.
Eggman 's siege, hopeless and panic-stricken, following her mother's capture. Her father had died during the Great War , and her mother would be subjected to Roboticization. During her time in the city, Mina met the ancient villain Mammoth Mogul , who used his Chaos powers and Ixis Magicks to grant her super speed while erasing her memory of their encounter, planting a post-hypnotic suggestion as a precaution for the future and then leaving her.
Mogul, who at the time was trapped in the Master Emerald , appeared to Mina as an astral projection, and marked her because he sensed she and Sonic would one day share a connection. Sonic and Sally met her among a group of Mobians that were being rounded up by Shadowbots whom they rescued from capture at the last moment. Despite being told to flee, she attempted to get into Robotnik's headquarters, only to be stopped by the hedgehog at which point she finally broke down in grief.
However, Sonic and Sally both comforted her, and Sonic attempted to make her realize that those who had been captured were likely already roboticized, and that only by remaining free would they have a chance at attempting a later rescue.
Mina finally agreed to leave with the group. While there, she found some meaning by helping Rosie at her orphanage to babysit other young orphans including Sasha , Rory and Snaggle , who seemed to take a liking to her as they could relate, having also lost their parents to Robotnik. Even though she was supposed to stay in Knothole where it was safe, there was at least one time that Mina wandered outside its boundaries into the Great Forest.
It was there that she encountered Prince Elias who had snuck back into Robotropolis for some medical supplies to heal Queen Alicia, and passed them on to her before being captured by Shadowbots. Per the Prince's instruction, Mina brought the supplies to the Queen, and then informed King Acorn of what had befallen his son.
As Sonic's parents were also roboticized, Mina felt he was someone she could relate to, but still continued to feel lonely and even considered allowing herself to be roboticized if only to be with her mother. Confused and wishing she'd be caught and brought before Robotnik to get answers for his actions, she headed into the Great Forest again, only to be confronted by Sonic once more.
While arguing over what each was doing there, they were attacked by a group of Combots with cloaking devices, intent on bringing the Sword of Acorns that Sonic stole to Dr. During the fight, Mina was caught only to be saved by Sonic a second time, but at the cost of losing the sword, and having her rescuer knocked unconscious.
In the end, Mina got Sonic to safety when she discovered she had enhanced speed, which she attributed to her being a mongoose a naturally quick creature , and allowed Sonic to recover before pursuing the Combots. While Sonic went after the sword, Mina stayed behind and ran into Rotor , who had just returned from the Northern Tundra and was surprised by the reappearance of Sonic who told them to head back to Knothole.
Once they returned though, Mina learned Geoffrey St. John was looking for who stole the Sword of Acorns. John saw through it and she was questioned by him and Hershey , to whom she reluctantly confessed. Upon observing Sonic's heroics and the way he interacted with his friends and family, Mina developed a crush on the hedgehog. They became close friends and began hanging out more with due to attending the high school that had been built as part of turning Knothole into a true city, though some, like Bunnie, didn't seem to appreciate Mina's advances on Sonic.
After hearing him say she potential for being a Freedom Fighter , Mina attempted to kiss Sonic in thanks and was surprised by his shock and confusion. Despite this, Mina still attempted to help Sally and the others when she informed them that Nate Morgan had gone to Robotropolis to aid the Overlanders that had taken up residence there.
Her actions along with the recovery of the Sword of Acorns resulted in unexpected benefits for everyone as all of the Robians in the city were freed with their free wills restored, and Mina was joyfully reunited with her mother even though she was still roboticized. Even though she knew she had strong feelings for Sonic, Mina found keeping up with him to be confusing and frustrating not only due to his speed but also from his personality.
At one point she was approached by Sally and took the opportunity ask the Princess how she dealt with him much to her surprise. Deciding she'd taken the wrong approach, she asked her mother for advice, which through a slight misunderstanding of how Isabella met her father , resulted in her trying to catch Sonic's eye by donning a fancy outfit. While impressed, he soon left afterward on a mission, frustrating the mongoose.
StH : , Eventually she decided to become a Freedom Fighter herself, so as to spend more time with Sonic. While her mother was wary of this reasoning, Mina began training in various aspects with the core Freedom Fighters. However, when a giant robot sent by Eggman attacked, Mina attempted to save Sasha, Rory and Snaggle, only to be overwhelmed by panic; she froze in place. Having only been saved by Rotor's timely disabling of the machine, Mina realized that her priorities had been skewed; she had not joined the Freedom Fighters with the intent of defending others, only to impress Sonic.
Mina proved to have quite a natural singing talent that impressed Sonic so much that he volunteered her to put on a stage performance with a local band called the Knothole Knuts to bolster her confidence. Despite this, she still occasionally aided in missions, and with her priorities in order, became more efficient.
When Sally was kidnapped by Nack the Weasel, Mina followed Sonic in an attempt to help out, and the two entered the weasel's hideout separately. Sonic found Sally first, and the two kissed. Mina walked in at that moment and realized that Sonic truly loved Sally. Extremely heartbroken, she turned away, only to notice Nack aiming at Sally with a gun. Using her speed, Mina rushed in to intercept the bullet, thinking to save Sally for Sonic's sake.
As she collapsed in Sonic's arms, she told him she loved him. When she later awoke in hospital, Sally asked if she'd be okay. Tearfully thinking of her heartbreak, Mina replied that she'd get over it. Though still dealing with this hardship, Mina was able to recover by the time the Xorda invaded Mobius , and joined the front lines in the massive assault against the Quantum Dial in the Southern Tundra.
StH : , , During Sonic's year in space, when he was thought to be dead, Mina continued working with the Knothole Knuts as their lead singer and key figure, which caused her popularity to soar to pop-star status. She probably would have gone through with it if not for the intervention of Cream. This shows that while Whisper is a noble character, her emotions and trauma tend to cloud her judgement, making her unpredictable and slightly dangerous to be around.
During one of her raids, she found her path crossing with that of Sonic and Silver and for the first time, she revealed herself to someone. It was here that she would meet Tangle for the first time who made friends with Whisper…. Whisper would continue to help the Resistance, later turned Restoration, in dealing with the Zombot Virus and Zeti and would assist Tangle in defending her town from the Babylon Rogues. During her time with Tangle though, Mimic would resurface and after a brief goodbye to Tangle, she would leave her and the Restoration to resume her hunt for her nemesis.
As of now, Whisper is MIA, which is a little disappointing considering the current arc is focusing on the girls. Soma Cruz is a handsome youngman characterized by his platinum white hair who made his first appearance in Aria of Sorrow. Very little is known about Soma Cruz other than the fact that he is currently attending school in Japan. His story in the series began when he along with his childhood friend Mina observed a Solar Eclipse in the year The two were mysteriously teleported into Castlevania along with several other people who apparently played a hand in the ultimate defeat of Dracula in Primarily wanting to save himself and Mina, Soma did just that.
During his time in Castlevania, Soma discovered many interesting things about himself. For one, he found that he was a natural born fighter, able to wield a variety of weapons with relative ease and efficiency. Even more shockingly, Soma found that he had something called the power of dominance, allowing him to absorb the souls of fallen enemies and gain their abilities. Over the course of his adventure in Aria of Sorrow, Soma would gain a variety of powers and learn the reason as to why he had the power of dominance in the first place.
As it turns out, Soma is a reincarnation of Count Dracula, who also possessed the Power of Dominance. The dark forces of Castlevania attempted to make Soma the new Prince of Darkness but he was able to resist and escape Castlevania with Mina.
Following his ordeal, Soma would return to his normal life with his powers seemingly fading. However, they would reappear when monsters began attacking him and Mina. Jill Valentine is a stunningly beautiful woman who made her first appearance in the original Resident Evil.
Very little is known about Jill Valentine outside of the fact that she was born in to a French and Japanese couple. At some point, Jill joined the US Army where she demonstrated enough skills to be offered a chance to join the primary Counter Terrorism unit, Delta Force. Given the brutal nature of Delta Force training, very few women have ever been offered to participate, let alone complete it. Given that she completed one of the most grueling training programs the armed forces has to offer, you can probably guess that Jill is one tough broad.
She is skilled in the use of a wide variety of weapons ranging from small arms and bladed weapons to heavy ordnance and experimental weapons like rail guns.
She is also a beast in hand to hand combat and has had training in bomb disposal and lock picking. More importantly, Jill is known for her precise and delicate work. Given her skills and experience, Jill would be recruited by Albert Whesker to join the special tactics and rescue squad following her discharge from the army.
After all she had been through, Jill would be faced with her greatest challenge ever when she and her squad stumbled into the Spencer Mansion during a mission outside of Racoon City. She would survive however and would live to fight another day…….
However, she would again survive and escape Racoon City unharmed. Following the Racoon City incident, Jill and her colleague, Chris Reinfeild would join the Private Anti-Biohazard Service in an effort to fight Umbrella and defend the world for their increasingly dangerous bioweapons. This led to Jill becoming the victim of several horrific ordeals, chief among them being the time she was nearly killed and then enslaved by Albert Whisker, who had been working with Umbrella this whole time.
Thankfully, Chris would free her from the control though her time around Whesker had her superiors concerned that she may have been exposed to a number of dangerous viruses. She is currently undergoing tests at a BSAA facility and appears to be fine. She is, however, ready and eager to return to service. However, the Morris Clan actually predates the Castlevania series.
This novel featured Quincy Morris who was among the group who went to kill Dracula. This would require the two to chase the blood countess all across Europe and face some of the most dangerous creatures of the night. They would eventually defeat Bartley as well as a revived Dracula though the resulting injuries that John suffered in his quest were amplified by the effects of the vampire killer.
As a result, John would meet a premature death. Leaving behind a son whom he barely knew. Which brings us to his son, Jonathan Morris……yeah, creative name guys. This included a wide range of weapons training, including the use of the vampire killer. This was done so to spare Jonathan a fate similar to that of his father but Jonathan knew he may have to take up arms at some point.
Preferably without having to kill Jonathan. This was the result of a vampire named Victor Bruner who, along with his two servants, were attempting to take Castlevania for themselves.
Tangle is a grey colored Lemur typically garbed in sports gear who made her first appearance in the fourth issue of the IDW series. Tangle is a resident of Spiral Hill Village, a small town on Mobius. Adventurous in nature, Tangle had a tendency to get into trouble much to the chagrin of her close friend Jewel the Beetle. This would continue up until the aftermath of the war, which would see her fight alongside Sonic the Hedgehog for the first time.
Realizing that she was actually on level footing with Sonic, Tangle decided to spread her wings. Joining the Resistance and later the Restoration. In regards to all that, Tangle is very average. However, she has one impressive ability and that is her tail. Now some of you might be saying: Big deal, her tail stretches.
However, anyone who has ever read One Piece will tell you that there is a lot of versatility to having that kind of power. Once the force stretching her tail is removed, the kinetic energy suddenly explodes as her tail returns to its original shape. In fact, outside of situations where combat is involved, Tangle is sort of discouraged from assisting with anything in the restoration due to her somewhat scatterbrained nature.
She was able to befriend the shy and reserved Whisper and she is currently helping Belle through her emotional troubles. No easy feat considering how messed up her current situation is. Tangle is simply happy to meet everyone though she is also terrified of losing friends. When Whisper opted to leave the Restoration without an explanation, Tangle was distraught and opted not to talk about it with anyone which is weird for her.
Regardless, Tangle has truly ingrained herself into the series. Both to the people of Mobius and fans of the franchise. She aided Sonic in the defeat of Neo-Metal Sonic at Angel Island and bravely fought on the frontlines to contain the spread of the Zombot virus.
She would even sacrifice herself to buy the transports time when she was infected herself. Tangle has proven to be a breath of fresh air in the series and I hope to see more of her in the future.
Would be cool if she could start appearing in the games too. So these next four issues see the return of the Deadly Six. After their defeat at the hands of Sonic during the end of the Zombot Virus, they have spent the past couple of weeks regrouping and figuring out a counter attack. They come to the conclusion that the current power on Mobius is the Reconstruction so if they want to take over the planet, they must take over the Reconstruction. Sonic is of course down to stop them…and he does.
Yeah, this is really the big weakness with these four issues: this whole story line is dedicated to the Deadly Six which is pretty dull. Their only purpose here is for Sonic and company to beat them…. Hell, issue 43 is just Sonic fighting the six with nothing really of note happening. Here, they are just standard badguy fodder. In fact, the amount of damage that Starline caused Belle is far greater than what I had initially thought.
Belle on the hand is basically an artificial living being capable of human emotion but also changing and evolving over time.
Something that Starline plans to use for whatever the hell he has planned. Question is, what does he have planned? As they talked, Ash suggested that Mina use her music to send a message to New Mobotropolis populace as a whole.
Mina eagerly took to this idea, feeling that she had wanted a good opportunity to try a new direction for a while, and began to work on a new album. Later, the band met at Mina's house, not too happy with the mood change proposed in the new songs.
However, Mina explained to them even their instruments were made of nanites and if Nicole would be compromised again, the very house could prove a threat. This convinced the others, and they began rehearsing for their next concert. Right before the show three weeks later, Mina hyped up the other band members backstage, confidently telling them they were making a difference. Despite this, Mina admitted she felt she was about to throw up, though Ash assured her the people loved her music as much as herself, encouraging her to get out there and "blow them away.
After roaring applause, Mina thanked the crowd for their passion and motivation. While she rallied a call against fear and a cry for change, Mina explained it was up to the people to take care of things inside the city while the Freedom Fighters were busy protecting them from outside forces. Unknown to everyone, the wizard Ixis Naugus had been observing the concert and using his magic to amplify any feelings of fear and anger to serve his own goals; the concern over NICOLE and her nanites began to get blown out of proportion.
After the concert, Mina made her way through the fans to the band's trailer with Ash, and found to their surprise Sonic and Sally waiting inside. The conversation quickly turned tense as Mina tried to explain to Sonic that she felt her message was one that needed to be heard - especially by him and the other Freedom Fighters. Concerned, Sally told Mina that she had to be careful with the influence of her popularity, but when she mentioned responsibilities, Mina heatedly retorted she felt Sally and the others were being irresponsible, citing Nicole's continued control of the entire city despite what had happened with the Iron Dominion.
Growing angry, Mina pointed out they hadn't even been in the city during the occupation, and that while they were "talking politics" on the other side of the world , people were being imprisoned by their homes and Legionized.
Sonic was indignant, but Sally cut him off and pointedly informed Mina that NICOLE had been undercover when they were gone, and done all she could to protect people without giving herself away while witnessing all the Legionization. With the added mention that Nicole had been present for Mina's concert and thus just experienced the fear and hatred of her it generated firsthand, Sonic and Sally left, leaving Mina feeling unsure. In the time following the concert, Mina began to see an undesired effect of her new message.
Mina suddenly decided that she wanted to leave, saying she couldn't enjoy the meal with "that" going on in the background. The two left, Mina mumbling that this wasn't what she wanted her music to create.
It was for this reason that Mina decided to hold a free concert in front of the community center in order to get the public to relax. While she hoped to lighten the mood she had created, her efforts were ruined when Geoffrey St. John stormed the band area, proclaiming it was time for the people to act. With the sudden added appearance of Ixis Naugus before them, Mina and the rest of the band ran for safety as the Freedom Fighters went to confront the rogue agent and his wizard master.
Mina attended Geoffrey St. John's trial, where he was declared guilty of treason but immediately pardoned by the new king. Her unease towards the situation continued to grow from this as well as the loss of Princess Sally, and when public opinion eventually resulted in NICOLE's exile, Mina felt guilty; she had wanted to raise awareness concerning possible problems with NICOLE, but never intended for fear to take over the city.
She told NICOLE that she could count on her as a friend, and swore to attain her original goal of inspiring the people and set them on the right path.
As they were about to start, Tails Doll snuck under the stage and caused it to collapse under her and the band. Teem Freedom raced onto the stage and Mina was saved from the destruction by Rotor. Ash rushed to Mina's aid after she was rescued by Rotor. She addressed the audience to thank Team Freedom for saving the day.
Initially, Mina was depicted as shy and lacking in confidence. She was often somewhat depressed, as she had recently lost her mother to roboticization, and at a time considered letting herself be captured and roboticized so as to at least be with her.
Eventually as she settled in Knothole, she became more cheerful, making friends and helping take care of a trio of orphans, and when her mother's free will was restored, Mina's mood improved greatly.
As she developed a crush on Sonic, she remained shy but began to expand her abilities and become a bit more outgoing, hoping only to impress him, but eventually realized her methods were misguided. When it comes to love, she's passionate but somewhat conflicted and oblivious. She was unaware of the relationship between Sonic and Sally and, upon realizing their feelings for each other, suffered tremendous heartbreak.
Deep down Mina is rather brave, having repeatedly put herself in danger for the sake of others, though she doesn't always handle pressure well. Despite her emotional hardships, Mina's confidence grew as her musical ability became apparent, and she developed into a happy, highly energetic individual with a heroic heart, using her singing talents to inspire hope, confidence and improved morale to the masses.
Mina's most prominent ability is her singing talent. King Max recruited her to sing for the troops due to her beautiful voice. Since then, she's become a world-famous singer. Also, Mina is able to run at incredible speeds, a skill that stems from the fact she's a mongoose, a naturally fast creature Though it was later revealed that Mammoth Mogul gave Mina her super speed. While she doesn't quite match up to Sonic or Tails in terms of speed, she is fast enough to require training from Sonic to keep from seriously injuring herself whilst sprinting, and can perform the Figure-Eight Peel-Out.
Mina has also demonstrated that she can be quite good with kids when she helped Rosie out by babysitting the orphans Sasha , Rory , and Snaggle. Over time, a relationship with Sonic started to develop, and Sonic eventually began to think of her alongside Sally as girlfriend material and said as much when asked about it by his best friend, Tails, in issue The two would engage in flirting, and even an occasional gesture of affection in public, which in turn greatly wavered the confidence Princess Sally had in her future with Sonic.
However, in Sonic the Hedgehog , the tides would turn. Sonic and Mina have a small concert together, but before Mina received the chance to admit her feelings for Sonic, and ask him out, Princess Sally was kidnapped by Nack the Weasel , and Sonic and Mina went to rescue her. When Sally was rescued by Sonic, Sally would be quicker than the mongoose to the punch and be the first to confess her feelings for Sonic.
Sonic seeing Sally with interest and girlfriend material as well as Mina according to issue would return her feelings through a kiss. By chance, Mina walked in on the kiss, and like Sally, she would assumed that affections to another girl implied Sonic never truly cared about her, unknowing what fans learned about Sonic's stance in issue and similar struggles Sally suffered. As Mina watched heartbroken, moments later Nack would attempt to shoot Sally in the head with his gun.
While Mina had desired to be with Sonic, she sacrificed herself to save Sally so that Sonic could be happy. As she was falling unconscious, she said to Sonic, "I love you She didn't die, and Sonic would respond with panic over nearly losing Mina, and was soon after rushed to the hospital. Afterwards, Mina would resolve to try distancing herself to get over Sonic so that he could sort out what he wanted with Sally.
With Mina no longer presenting herself as interested, and Sally desiring to take their relationship to another level, Sonic and Sally would do just that and from that point Sonic would be Sally's consort until The invasion of the alien Xorda occurred not long after, and Sonic apparently gave his life to save the planet. In reality, he had been flung to the far end of the Galaxy, and a year would pass on Mobius before he was able to find a way home.
While believing he was dead, Mina began to date Ash Mongoose , the manager of her singing career. Upon learning that Sonic was alive and well, Mina begins to develop mixed feelings about her new relationship, making Ash feel insecure and hostile towards Sonic.
In issue , Mina revealed that she had not been sure if she was in love with Ash.
