I appreciate the answer. I will check it out over on the HP Web sight. I just went and purchased the HP Multi Function printer. Lower cost, it worked fine for along time and the DPE. Ttfn, Till then for now Stuart. Wow, that's strange that this misplaced file has so much impact on your system booting. I wonder if you took the HP out of the startup group, if it would have that same effect when the file was deleted.
That might be something to try just for info. Reading all the error message details might provide further as well. Here's a thread that you might want to stay tuned to. It might be relevant.
